How it works

Clear braces work exactly like metal braces, but with tooth-coloured ceramic brackets that blend in with your smile.

Each bracket is bonded to the front of your tooth and connected by a thin wire that gently guides your teeth into place. Because the brackets are made from a translucent ceramic, they’re far less noticeable than metal — a popular choice for older teens and adults who’d prefer a more discreet option.

Care & hygiene

Clear braces need the same care as metal braces, with one extra consideration.

Brush after meals and floss daily to keep both your teeth and brackets clean. The clear elastic ties can pick up stains from strongly coloured foods and drinks like coffee, curry and red wine, so we swap them for fresh ones at every visit.

Avoiding hard and sticky foods will protect the ceramic brackets from chips and breakages.
